1. Low Voltage Power Factor Capacitors
Modern low loss design, easy installation (one fixing stud and two or three connections), the capacitors are compact and user-friendly. Used to extend existing capacitor banks, replace failed capacitors and supplied to OEMs to build into their products.

2. LV Capacitor Banks
Usually automatic and can be single stage or multistage. Once they have been installed they operate without the involvement of site personnel.
Our capacitor banks do not contain any components or commodities which are environmentally damaging or hazardous.
We have a comprehensive range of standard products and can provide custom designs for special applications or where space is limited.

Detuned Capacitors are used where there are high levels of harmonic distortion on the mains supply. Inductors are connected in series with the capacitors to prevent overloads which lead to equipment failure.
3. High Speed Power Factor Correction
Standard automatic Power Factor Correction equipment has inbuilt time delay to stop it reacting to short term loads and to ensure that, after switch-off, the capacitors discharge to a safe voltage level before they can be re-energised. This precludes their use on rapidly fluctuating loads which, until recently, have remained uncorrected.
High Speed Power Factor Correction has been designed to address this shortcoming. It uses thyristors instead of contactors to switch the capacitors and they have ‘ZERO VOLTAGE SWITCHING’ SYSTEM: The thyristor switches when mains voltage and the DC voltage on the capacitor are the same. Result - No inrush current and no time delay. The capacitors are brought into circuit within a fraction of a cycle of the main supply. Capacitors life is extended because there aren’t any inrush current stresses and there is no wear and tear on the thyristors.
The major benefit to customers is that loads which could not be corrected previously can now be improved and electricity bills reduced.
4. Products for Panel Builders and Switchboard Manufacturers
Enable customers to build Power Factor Correction into their products instead of supplying stand alone capacitor banks. Saves time, switchroom space and installation cost.
Capacitor Trays – steel backplate on which are mounted fuses, contactor(s) and capacitor(s) connected together to form a module. Ratings up to 100KVAr available, one or two stages. Both standard and detuned units can be supplied. If our standard product won’t fit in your equipment, we’ll make one that will.
